All-New 2023 Toyota Camry Mid-Size Sedan Reviews: Specs, Pricing, and Release Date

Posted on

2023 Toyota Camry is a mainstay of the midsize sedan segment, which has lost entry and sales in recent years as the world has embraced SUVs.

Nevertheless, while the market has changed, the Camry continues to top the sales chart as the number one selling passenger car, a place it has held for the last twenty years.

It has a well-earned reputation for reliability, and it offers a hybridized version that delivers outstanding fuel economy.

The current generation of Camry borders on style, especially when chosen with the Nightshade package — which adds bronze wheels for 2023 — or the sporty-looking TRD trim.

And while many of the Camry’s rivals, such as the Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata, have moved to the four-cylinder lineup, Toyota’s midsize sedan can still be had with the optional 301-hp V-6.

While far from being a fun car to drive, its safety features, economical engine, and roomy interior make it a competent and easy car to drive daily.

For 2023, the optional Nightshade SE trim pack adds black headlights and taillight trim to match the black front grille, rear spoiler, rearview mirror caps, and badges.

The Nightshade also gets 19-inch matte bronze alloy wheels which, surprisingly, don’t look out of place on them. You can add packs to Midnight Black, White, or Reservoir Blue—a new color.

The rest of the Camry lineup is getting more driver-assist technology, including automatic headlights and a front-facing camera that can read certain road signs and show them on a digital screen.

2023 Toyota Camry Review

Toyota Camry 2023 Through years of changing fashions, the rise of SUVs, and the onslaught of fierce competition like the Honda Accord, the Toyota Camry 2023 has continued to go undaunted.

2023 Toyota Camry

Over eight generations (the current version debuted for the 2018 model year), Toyota has continued improving the Camry while retaining all its renowned qualities.

These attributes include reliability, spacious cab, reliability, strong resale value, reliability, comfort, and even more reliability. Midsize sedans are what give people what they want, as long as they don’t want an SUV. Or something too interesting.

The range of new Camry sedan models ranges from affordable — but still packed with safety features — to those developed by the TRD (Toyota Racing Development) division with bespoke suspension setups and a 301-horsepower V6 as standard.

In its standard form, the Camry 2023 sedan doesn’t ask for much from the driver other than the attention and basic skills to make safe and stable progress. The 203 horsepower 4-cylinder engine has sufficient muscle (though it starts to sound rough at high revs) and returns tolerable fuel economy.

Nor does it give much to the driver. Not in terms of engagement, entertainment, or information. It’s almost like there’s an implied agreement between the car and the people in it—you do your thing, and I’ll do mine.

However, the front seats are large enough to take on all shapes and sizes, the comfort level is high, and the outward vision is good. The main gripe is the Camry can be a little noisy at freeway speeds.

A 301-horsepower V6 is available as an option on the XLE and XSE, and standard on the TRD. While all-wheel drive (AWD) is optional with the 4-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive (FWD) is the only arrangement with the V6.

This larger engine gives the Camry a more satisfying driving experience — especially the TRD, with its tighter/lower suspension and stronger brakes.

2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid

2023 Camry Two of Toyota’s biggest claims to fame are in the 2023 Camry Hybrid. The midsize Camry sedan has been a strong seller for decades, even in these SUV-obsessed times. That’s because it’s always reliable, durable, spacious, and safe. This attribute applies to the Camry Hybrid just like a regular Camry.

Another big Toyota specialty is hybrid power. The company has been making gasoline/electric cars for mass production since before the turn of the millennium. It has perfected this.

This car is a winning combination of the goodness of the Camry and hybrid efficiency, with the ability to reach 53 mpg on the road. The regular non-hybrid Toyota Camry 2023 midsize sedan is reviewed separately.

Camry 2023 Price We expect a starting price of around $28,000 for the 2023 Camry Hybrid in LE trim, plus destination costs. The top XSE trim should be around $34K. These prices are a bit more expensive than the regular price, but buyers will be happy because they produce fewer emissions and consume less fuel.

Honda Accord Hybrid and Hyundai Sonata Hybrid are priced at the same price. Before buying a new Camry Hybrid sedan, check KBB.com’s Fair Purchase Price to see what others in your area are paying for them. This and the Accord are very good at defending their values.

The battery doesn’t need to be recharged, so the Camry Hybrid 2023 sedan is as easy to use as a regular Camry — which is very, very easy. There are no special requirements, just regular maintenance and occasional visits to gas stations.

The driver can click through the modes, perhaps selecting Eco settings for suburban trips and errands. Choose Sport when you want a sharper throttle response. It’s not a thrilling machine, but it’s not what buyers want from their hybrid cars.

If there’s a more valid complaint, the brakes need to get used to. Due to the regeneration system that captures the brake energy (and stores it in the battery), the initial bite is quite strong. That’s not always the case with hybrids. Other companies have managed to make the action smoother.

Interestingly, or perhaps vice versa, Toyota doesn’t offer all-wheel drive in the 2023 Camry Hybrid, even though it’s available on the regular Camry. And in the Toyota Prius.

A naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine provides the combustion components of the Camry Hybrid 2023 sedan drivetrain. It develops a leisurely 176 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque and requires no more expensive than regular gasoline.

A motor and lithium-ion battery handle the electrical side. This setup makes 118 horsepower and 149 lb-ft of torque.

Calculating the total output is not as easy as simply adding up various numbers. Engines and motors reach their peak at different times. Toyota cites combined horsepower at 208 and never supplies combined torque figures for its hybrids.

The automatic transmission directs energy only to the front wheels.

2.5 liter inline-4/permanent magnet synchronous electric motor
Combined system output: 208 horsepower
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 51/53 mpg (LE), 44/47 mpg (SE, XLE, XSE)

2023 Toyota Camry Interior

We’ve ridden the Camry in the top-tier XLE guise and the more plebeian SE trim. Both are spacious and comfortable, and the XLE is a real luxury.

However, there is a serious gap in material quality between the entry-level model and the more expensive versions, and the center of the dashboard leaves some of us cold with its unattractive design.

The Camry is a large sedan, and there’s plenty of cargo space and interior storage in its trunk and cabin with the rear seats folded.

It’s not the best in every storage category, but overall, it’s competitive. Toyota moved the Camry hybrid battery from the trunk to under the rear seat, so hybrid owners don’t have to sacrifice carrying capacity for the extra mpg.

Toyota’s touchscreen infotainment system—called Entune 3.0—is standard across the Camry lineup, with an enhanced version available as an option. Entune has plenty of features and responded fairly well to user feedback in our tests, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard.

Whatever the Camry 2023 midsize sedan may lack design flair, it compensates with a smart layout that makes things easy. Also, the quality of the cabin materials becomes almost luxurious in the higher trims. For example, the XLE has wood trim, while the XSE replaces it with metal highlights.

Admittedly, the Honda Accord has the Camry beat for rear legroom: 40.4 inches compared to 38 inches. But that’s still plenty of room for adult passengers.

A similar situation occurs with the volume of the trunk. The Camry has 15.1 cubic feet, and the Accord has 16.7.

However, the 15.1 is still quite large, the trunk aperture is nice and wide, and there’s a low point of the lift. Most versions also have 60/40 split/folding rear seats for picking up the occasional extra long item, but the TRD variant’s extra body support in pursuit of maximum rigidity requires snapping the rear seats in place.

2023 Toyota Camry Exterior

Now we come to the changes for the Camry 2023 sedan. The Nightshade Edition, based on the SE trim, is now available in Reservoir Blue in addition to black or white. Like a reservoir that’s a bit deep, but not too deep, that’s how to describe blue like this.

Another tweak is that the Nightshade version also gets 19-inch alloy wheels with a bronze finish.

The only Camry that doesn’t have a gray or black grille is the XLE, which uses chrome. The TRD model has mainly black exterior elements, including a fixed rear wing. The XSE and TRD also offer a metallic black roof option to contrast with the body color.

2023 Toyota Camry Favorite Features

  • INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
Naturally, the 9-inch touchscreen in some of the top trims is preferable, but the graphics are nice and sharp regardless of the screen size. It is also a very user-friendly and intuitive system with almost no learning curve.
  • ALL WHEEL DRIVE
The availability of all-wheel drive is rare for the mid-range sedan. It is exclusively paired with a 4-cylinder engine, bringing extra assurance in slippery conditions. That means a slightly smaller gas tank, though: 14.4 gallons compared to the 15.8 front-drive model.

2023 Toyota Camry Standard Features

The LE trim kicks off the Camry 2023 sedan lineup with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lights, heated mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, fabric upholstery, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a rear seat reminder function.

The infotainment system features a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Amazon Alexa compatibility, satellite radio, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and six speakers.

There’s a plethora of reassuring driver assistance in the Camry 2023, such as adaptive cruise control, lane maintenance assistance, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, crossing assist, automatic high beam, lane tracking assist, and road sign recognition.

2023 Toyota Camry Factory Option

Versions with a 4-cylinder engine are eligible for all-wheel drive. Surprisingly, the next SE trim has single-zone automatic climate control. That also applies to the Nightshade Edition, as it is based on SE. Other changes include a simulated leather seating surface and a steering wheel wrapped in real goods.

The XLE elevates the luxury aspect by reinstating dual-zone climate control and adding keyless entry/ignition, wireless charging, leather seating surface, 8-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated front seats, full-speed adaptive cruise control, auto-dimming glass mirrors, ambient cab lighting, 9-inch touchscreen and blind-spot monitoring with rear traffic warning.

Apart from the 19-inch alloy wheels, 3 more horsepower for the 4-cylinder model, and the sport-tuned suspension, the XSE doesn’t add much. Both the XLE and XSE are equipped with a panoramic moonroof, a heads-up display, Wi-Fi, and a JBL 9-speaker sound system when the V6 is in the engine bay.

The TRD model comes exclusively with the V6 and — for some reason — single-zone climate control again. It’s also back to the simulated skin, but this time with red stitching.

The front passenger back has a manually adjustable seat. The rearview mirror loses its dimming ability. And the infotainment system shrunk to 7 inches.

Other options across the various versions include heated/ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera system, a heated steering wheel, navigation, and JBL audio setup. Blind-spot monitoring is available in the lower trim.

2023 Toyota Camry Engine

The standard four-cylinder engine pairs with a smooth eight-speed automatic, but the acceleration numbers are disappointing. The underpowered version of that engine runs on a battery and two electric motors to power the Camry hybrid, which is no more exciting to drive than the base powertrain.

The real gem of this lineup is the soft 301-hp V-6 available on the XLE and XSE models as well as the TRD variant. We’re also happy to say that we no longer hate driving Camrys. It has a controlled ride and a very responsive handling.

The steering wheel is comfortable in weight and feels solid when cornering and light when maneuvering in the parking lot.

We found the Camry’s brake pedal response not too soft, even in the hybrid, where it had to combine friction with regenerative braking (where energy from braking is used to recharge the hybrid battery).

2023 Toyota Camry Engine & Transmission

Most buyers of the Camry 2023 will probably get a version with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The front-wheel drive (FWD) variant in the LE, SE, and XLE trims enjoys 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

When all-wheel drive (AWD) is in the picture, output drops slightly to 202 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque.

Just to muddy the waters a little more, this engine in the Camry XSE, produces 206 horsepower/186 lb-ft (FWD) or 205 horsepower/185 lb-ft (AWD).

The XLE and XSE are also eligible for the 3.5-liter V6 engine, the standard engine in the TRD model. This powerplant develops 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft, for the front wheels only.

All Camry models use an 8-speed automatic transmission. And regular gasoline works well with every engine. These fuel savings estimates from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are 2022 figures, but 2023 should be the same.

  • 2.5-liter inline-4
  • 202-206 horsepower @ 6,600 rpm
  • Torque 182-186 lb-ft @ 4,400/5,000 rpm
  • EPA city/highway fuel economy: 28/39 mpg (FWD), 27/38 (FWD: XLE & XSE ), 25/34 mpg (AWD)
  • 3.5-liter V6
  • 301 horsepower @ 6,600 rpm
  • torque 267 lb-ft @ 4,700 rpm
  • EPA city/highway Fuel economy: 22/33 mpg (XLE), 22/32 mpg (XSE), 22/31 mpg (TRD)

2023 Toyota Camry MPG

The entire Camry lineup performed very well in EPA testing, and the four-cylinder model performed brilliantly in our real-world road tests.

The most efficient nonhybrid Camry models are the LE and SE with four-cylinder engines, which earn EPA estimates of 28 mpg city and 39 mpg highway; the base LE hybrid scores 51 mpg city and 53 mpg highway ratings.

The hybrid top trim sacrifices some efficiency at the altar of luxury, however, and the V-6-powered model gets a city rating of 22 mpg and a highway rating of up to 33 mpg.

The four-cylinder Camry SE delivered 45 mpg in our road test, beating its own EPA rating of 6 mpg—and making it the most economical non-hybrid we’ve tested. It even beat the Camry XLE Hybrid we tested by 1 mpg. For more information on Camry fuel economy, visit the EPA website.

2023 Toyota Camry Price

We’d go with the XLE Hybrid because we think it’s this trim that best reflects the Camry’s strengths: being a relaxed family sedan with almost Lexus-like accommodations.

Driven gently, this results in excellent fuel economy. It rides well, steers accurately, and the standard leather interior is handsome, roomy, and well-equipped.

  • LE $27,000 (est)
  • SE $29,000 (est)
  • LE Hybrid $30,000 (est)
  • SE Hybrid $31,000 (est)
  • XLE $32,000 (est)
  • XSE $33,000 (est)
  • XLE Hybrid $34,000 (est)
  • TRD $34,000 (est)
  • XSE Hybrid $35,000 (est)

Expect to pay something in the region of $26,000 plus destination fees for the LE version of the Camry 2023. The range should be around $36K for the XSE V6 model. For all-wheel drive, the budget is $1,500 or so.

Some midsize sedans start at around $24K—like the Kia K5, Hyundai Sonata, and Subaru Legacy. The Nissan Altima is around $26K. And the Honda Accord could be close to $27K.

Before buying a new Camry sedan, check KBB.com’s Fair Purchase Price to see what others in your area are paying for them. The Honda Accord tends to be the resale value king of this particular castle, but the Camry turns out to be in a princely performance.

2023 Toyota Camry since its introduction to the US market, way back in 1983, the Toyota Camry has become one of the most popular and successful sedans in its class. The latest-generation Camry is roomy, comfortable, sharp-looking, and fun if not overly exciting to drive. It’s also one of the few vehicles in its class to offer all-wheel drive, which is a boon for those who live in snowy climates but don’t want to get behind the wheel of an SUV.

The Camry 2023 marks the sixth year of production since this generation debuted in 2018. Toyota sedans and crossovers generally follow a five-year life cycle, but the Camry 2023 is unchanged. The only real upgrade for this year applies to the SE Nightshade Edition, which sees the 18-inch black alloy wheels replaced with 19-inch alloy wheels painted in bronze.

Of course, there are other options if you don’t go the Camry route. The Honda Accord continues to be the Camry’s biggest rival, and the Hyundai Sonata and Kia K5 bring a lot of value and style to the table. Check out our Expert Ratings below to see if the Toyota Camry deserves to be your next sedan.

New Toyota Camry 2023 Review

The 2023 Toyota Camry Nightshade will be available in Bronze Wheels look on the Camry’s updated appearance package replacing the 18-inch black rims with a set of 19-inch bronze.

On the other hand, the popular family sedan has a sport-oriented TRD model that might sound like the perfect recipient of the new bronze rollers that will be reserved for the updated Nightshade appearance package.

The appearance of the model wearing the Nightshade features a black grille with the same mesh design as the Camry TRD and black exterior parts such as badges, mirror caps, and rear spoiler.

For 2023, the Nightshade model now also comes with black framed headlights and taillights to help compliment the black theme in collaboration with the Midnight Black and White paint option available in the package is Reservoir and comes in this newly introduced color which is also offered on other models.

While the bronze wheels on the Camry may not be everyone’s first choice and we would appreciate it if Toyota offered a similar set on the GR86 sports car and the Supra the 19-inch multispoke Nightshade wheels are bigger and more distinctive than the black 18.

We also really expect Toyota to revive the gold exterior trim that used to adorn Camrys in the ’90s.

Last year’s Camry Nightshade Edition was available with a hybrid sedan powertrain. That remains true for 2023 and this kit continues to be offered on SE models with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and front or all-wheel drive.

In terms of pricing, Toyota hasn’t said whether the updated Nightshade package will remain a $700 option. But the company said it will announce pricing for its 2023 Camry line later this summer.

Toyota Camry Redesign Debuts With Nightshade Special Edition

Toyota Camry 2023 Debuts With Nightshade Special Edition, Available Camry Hybrid’s V6 engine gets an estimated fuel efficiency of 52 miles per gallon combined.

As the Toyota Camry approaches its 40th anniversary, the midsize sedan enters the 2023 model year with a refreshed Nightshade Special Edition.

The package accounts for about just 5 percent of Camry sales in 2021, but demand for 2022 grows to around 7 percent. To answer the positive response from its customers, this Japanese brand launched three Nightshade moods with a choice of Midnight Black, White, and the new Reservoir Blue exterior color.

Available with a four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, as well as a hybrid, the design package features a black front grille with a more aggressive mesh insert, borrowed directly from the Camry TRD.

Just like before, there’s a black rear spoiler, mirrors, lid, and exterior badge. New for the 2023 MY is the black framed headlights and taillights, which complete the dark look.

The Camry Nightshade sports 19-inch alloy wheels with a matte bronze finish and, on the SE trim, sport-tuned suspension. Toyota says this model is designed for customers looking for a little extra attention and for those who value a designer look in the mainstream sedan segment.

2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid V6 Engine

For the 2023 model year, the Camry continues to be available with various trim levels and engines. There are five FWD trim levels and five AWD, LE, XLE, SE, SE Nightshade, and XSE grades. Upgrades to the hybrid model carry a combined fuel efficiency rating of 52 miles per gallon and the same five trim levels.

There are also three top-range V6 models, the XLE, XSE, and the performance TRD. More importantly, every new 2023 Camry, regardless of engine and trim level, has a Top Safety Pick+ safety rating from IIHS.

Speaking of engines, the sedan gets a choice between the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and the optional 3.5-liter V6, with 203 horsepower and 310 hp, respectively. All gas-powered models are equipped as standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission. A 2.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine is used in the Camry Hybrid for a combined system output of 208 hp.

Toyota Camry Concept

Many people like the Toyota Camry 2023. It has a cool design. This design is the exterior and interior design. The interior design uses a high-quality leather interior.

This makes passengers feel comfortable in this car. The interior design is also equipped with music, MP3, video, MP4, LED, and convenient display in the cockpit or cockpit, etc. to make passengers more comfortable and immersive entertainment functions.

Before you buy this Camry, we first make some comments about the Toyota Camry 2023. People who like this car say that the interior design is more spacious than other cars. This car has ten standard airbags.

It also has a 43 mpg hybrid system. You will find it easier to drive. They also say that the interior of this car is very comfortable. This will make your driving easier.

People who don’t like the Toyota Camry 2023 say that some aspects of the car make them feel uncomfortable and uninterested. Still a tool. They also say that the back of the rear seats are uncomfortable and the front seats need support.

This is why people are reconsidering whether to buy this car. It is up to you to decide whether to buy this car or not. Of course, this car has performance. These are the cars that can be on your car list.

Toyota Camry Model

Toyota Camry Nightshade Edition 2023 Might Not Put You To Sleep Contrary to its name, this Camry offers (some) unexpected visual refreshments.

While the all-new Toyota Camry shouldn’t be too far around the corner, the midsize sedan in its current form is still earning love. For example, the Toyota Camry Nightshade Edition 2023 is back, this time distinguished by bronze alloy wheels and a choice of three paint colors, including the new Reservoir Blue. Like previous years, the Nightshade is a factory styling package that redefines the appearance of the Camry, bringing in unique exterior details and generally darker trim.

Borrowing the grille from the Camry TRD model, the Nightshade Edition continues to follow that trend, bringing in lots of dark details, from the mirror caps to the rear spoiler to the exterior badge.

Unlike the previous edition, the headlights and taillights also add a touch of black, and the chrome framing of the windows has been replaced with… you guessed it, black trim. If you’re not a fan of the new Reservoir Blue for 2023, Midnight Black and White will continue to be available.

What stands out most from the Toyota Camry Nightshade Edition 2023 are the new bronze alloy wheels, which give the mainstream sedan a sporty aftermarket look. The rims look very sharp with the Reservoir Blue painting pictured here.

Inside, things haven’t changed at all. Black leather seats with an 8.0-inch touchscreen are standard in the Nightshade Edition. Note that the Camry 2023 has the old Toyota infotainment system, not the new Multimedia setup seen on the latest Tundra and updated Highlander 2023.

The Nightshade Edition is positioned between the SE and XSE grades in the Camry lineup and will be available on every powertrain except the V-6 engine. This means it will be offered in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and with a hybrid setup.

2023 Toyota Camry Features

The 2023 Toyota Camry will be available in six trim levels – LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XLE, and XSE. Two engine options consisting of four cylinders and a V6 will be offered. All trim levels, except the XLE and XSE, are powered by a 2.5-liter inline-4-cylinder engine while the XLE and XSE models have a larger 3.5-liter V6 engine.

The 2023 Toyota Camry is equipped with Toyota’s exclusive Safety Sense 2.5+ feature which adds forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane guard assistance, and adaptive cruise control.

Meanwhile, the Camry SE Nightshade model adds exclusive features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, a trunk-mounted spoiler, and adaptive cruise control. It gets a dark exterior treatment and a dark interior color scheme.

What Is the Difference Between Toyota Camry Le And Se

The Camry LE features upholstered seats and upholstered wood trim, whereas the SE enhances your cabin experience with Sport SoftTex® cut front seats, fabric inserts, embossed mesh trim, and 4.2 inches. Dark Gray alloy wheels and front grille, only SE offers 18-in.

What Is Toyota Camry TRD

The 2023 Toyota Camry TRD, for newcomers, stands for Toyota Racing Development. … Toyota offers the TRD in just four of the Camry’s 10 available colors, but you should opt for red.
Red accents are everywhere inside: on the seat inserts, pipes, seams, and floor mats. The seat belts are red, of course.

What Years of Toyota Camry To Avoid

There are three years of a used Toyota Camry that you shouldn’t buy. They are Camry model years 2007, 2008, and 2009. These cars have known engine failures and you don’t want to have them.

2023 Toyota Camry Interior

The interior of the Camry has five seats, and the front seats are quite roomy and comfortable, but the headroom is slightly reduced for rear seat passengers. However, 38.0 inches of legroom at the rear provides enough room for the average adult, and 15.1 cubic feet of space in the trunk in the hybrid or gas models are above average for the sedan.

Achieving the highest score in the toughest crash test criteria in the industry, the Camry is a Top Safety Pick+ recipient from IIHS and a top five-star rating from NHTSA. Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane control, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, and automatic headlights.

2023 Toyota Camry Exterior

The 2023 Toyota Camry has received a much-appreciated upgrade to the front fascia that features a black grille and LED headlights with integrated LED DRL. The sedan has received a lot of appreciation for its looks and the 2022 Camry is expected to get some minor updates that will make it more aggressive than the previous model.

The highest trim of the XSE comes with large 19-inch alloy wheels. The Camry is no longer the boring midsize sedan that screams midlife crisis and has been a flashy-looking car over the years.

The 2023 Toyota Camry seems to be a bit longer than the other cars and also the heaviest this might be due to more features being offered as standard which can increase the weight of the car. Mazda has the highest ground clearance which makes it easier to maneuver over bumps and rough roads.

Toyota Camry Engine

The 2023 Toyota Camry has two engines on offer. The standard engine is a 2.5L four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that produces 203 horsepower and 184-pound feet of torque.

The bigger engine is a 3.5L V6 engine that compromises fuel economy to give you 301 horsepower and 267-pound feet of torque. AWD is an option with both engines, making driving on the Camry exciting and responsive. The steering feels light when maneuvering through tight spaces and very heavy when traveling at high speed through sharp turns.

The engine in the 2023 Toyota Camry is the same as most of its rivals but offers more power than most. The Accord offers more torque, makes acceleration faster, and makes the car feel more powerful even with a smaller engine.

Toyota Camry MPG

2023 Toyota Camry is expected to be able to provide fuel efficiency is the USP of the Camry. It offers best-in-class fuel economy with a standard four-cylinder which is further enhanced by a hybrid engine.

The standard four cylinders return 28 MPG in the city, 39 MPG on the highway, and 32 MPG in combined cycles according to the EPA. This eco-friendly hybrid engine further boosts these numbers to 51 MPG in the city and 53 MPG on the highway which will further reduce your fuel costs.

The powerful V6 is gas efficient which means it consumes more fuel, bringing the MPG figure down to 22 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.

We hope that the 2023 Toyota Camry will stay with the 2021 engine lineup. The base engine should remain the 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 202-206 hp and 182-186 lb-ft of torque depending on trim. FWD and AWD options must be available. Maximum fuel economy for the 2021 model with this engine comes in at 28/39 mpg city/highway.

For more power, the V-6 is expected to produce 301 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque. These models should come exclusively with FWD. Fuel economy should be maxed out at around 22/33 mpg like the previous year’s model.

Buyers who want the best in fuel economy should opt for the 208-hp Camry Hybrid. This model achieves 51/53 mpg (or 44/47 over the LE trim).

2023 Toyota Camry Price

Pricing hasn’t been announced for 2023, but it’s expected to be slightly higher than the $27,000 to $37,000 range of the 2022 model. Standard features include LED lighting, fabric upholstery, a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alex compatibility. and satellite radio trials. Options range from a 10.0-inch heads-up display to wood dash trim.

All Camry comes with a basic 3-year/36,000-mile warranty with two years or 25,000 miles of factory-scheduled maintenance.

2023 Toyota Camry Release Date

Toyota says the Nightshade package accounts for 5 percent of Camry sales in 2021 and is on track to reach 7 percent this year. It remains to be seen if the 2023 model will raise those numbers, but with those wheels, new custom colors, and darker details, we’re sure interest will increase when the ’23 Camry Nightshade Edition hits dealers later this year.

Verdict

The 2023 Toyota Camry in our opinion will not receive as many upgrades as it seems to be responsible for as the Sedan seems to be perfect in almost every way.

It comes with a spacious cabin, the top trim comes with high-end materials, and a powerful V6 engine with an optional AWD system, in short, there is something for everyone and the Camry can help every buyer get what they want, making it the one sedan they want.
