2021 Toyota Tacoma: All-New Redesign Detail, Price and Release Date

2021 Toyota Tacoma not everyone needs full size and pickup capability. That’s where the midsize truck comes in, and the Toyota Tacoma is one of the better choices in that class.

This is ranked third honored in the rank of Edmunds, trailing the more friendly Honda Ridgeline city and the all-around Jeep Gladiator. In some ways, Tacoma is a reasonable middle ground between the two.

Among the positive aspects of Tacoma, we calculate considerable off-road prowess, easy-to-use controls, and six-speed manual transmission available on the V6 model.

Our complaints are limited to the rather high rise in height which may require efforts for smaller passengers.

For 2021, Tacoma adds a new Trail Special Edition. This is based on the entry-level SR5 trim close to the style of a double cabin body.

It will be offered in two or four-wheel drive and is available in Army Green and Cement colors which are cool for the exterior, along with black or white. Other flourishes include 18-inch dark wheels and black badging.

Beyond cosmetics, the Tacoma Trail Special Edition will come with all-terrain tires and has a lock on the pickup bed.

The driver’s side will even be isolated so that it can function as an internal cooler.

Toyota plans to offer 7,000 of these models. There will be a Nightshade Special Edition based on the more expensive Limited trim, but the changes are only aesthetically pleasing, with badges and trims along. Only 5,000 are planned to be produced.

The rest of the lineup is expected to return largely unchanged, so if you are not so interested in the Trail or Nightshade editions, Tacoma 2020 will probably suit you.

2021 Toyota Tacoma Redesign

The third-generation Toyota Tacoma made its debut in 2016, bringing a sharper look with tougher body lines, new grille, new headlights, and more.

In 2021, we hope that Tacoma will be accumulated, but will get some new special edition models.

As a carryover pickup, we expect the Toyota Tacoma 2021 to continue with the same appearance as it has been since 2016.

We hope this trend will continue until 2022 or 2023, which is likely when Toyota will redesign this medium pickup which drives its final profit.

What will change for 2021 will be two pickups of the new special edition: Trail Special Edition and Nightshade Special Edition.

The 2021 Tacoma Trail Special Edition will get 18-inch TRD Off-Road wheels in dark gray with reinforced Kevlar all-terrain tires, a special grille, an electrical outlet on a 115-volt bed, and isolated storage in a lockable bed.

2021 Toyota Tacoma Interior and Exterior

Inside, Tacoma is now a subtle combination of roughness with an upright dash and thick steering wheel, and sporty with rounded air vents and contrasting passenger-side dash accents.

We hope this display will remain the same when Tacoma 2021 enters the showroom.

2021 Tacoma Nightshade Special Edition will be based on Limited trims and will get black-and-black leather seats, black exterior trim, dark chrome trim, black-painted mirror cover, and door handles, 18 inch Dark Smoke wheels, black exhaust tip, black mist bezel, and new grille insert.

2021 Toyota Tacoma Engine

We also hope that the Toyota Tacoma 2021 will enter the showroom with the same powertrain option.

If this is the case, it will arrive with a standard 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 159 horsepower and 180 pound-foot torque.

The optional engine will still be a 3.5 liter V6 with 278 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque.

Both engines will continue with standard rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive.

The standard transmission will still be a six-speed automatic while a six-speed manual will be available with a V6 engine at certain trims.

2021 Toyota Tacoma Safety

Tacoma is now rare in the medium pickup area with a complete range of standard advanced safety equipment, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beam, and adaptive cruise control.

This set of safety equipment plus “Good” crash test scores on all IIHS tests except the passenger side small-side test earned him an IIHS Top Safety Pick rank.

We hope this and all safety ratings remain the same in Tacoma 2021.

2021 Toyota Tacoma Price and Release Date

There is no official release date for Tacoma 2021, but based on the schedules of previous years, we expect the debut of the late 2020 summer.

Prices are also unknown at this time, but in the absence of changes, we estimate no significant change from the current MSRP range of $ 27,170 to $ 47,785 MSRP (including destination costs).
