2022 Toyota Sienna: New Toyota Sienna Styling and Boldly Design Review

Posted on

2022 Toyota Sienna The third-generation Sienna endured a whopping 10 model years. Finally, in 2021, Toyota released the all-new fourth-generation Sienna with a new look, upgraded powertrain, and the latest technology.

As we enter our second model year, we expect the 2022 Toyota Sienna to be a carryover model.

Despite playing in a relatively boring class, Sienna has some unique style cues. This sharp two-box van features a unique fascia, deep scallops running down the doors and over the rear wheel arch, a beautiful rear end, and bold taillights.

We expect this striking new look to stick around when the 2022 Sienna hits showrooms.

2022 Toyota Sienna Redesign

Inside, the new generation Sienna gets a sharp cabin with a clean dashboard, a large top dashboard touchscreen, a floating center console with beefy gearshifts and storage underneath, a two-tone color scheme available, plenty of storage boxes, and more. We expect this new design to remain the same at the 2022 Sienna.

Technology isn’t lacking in the new Sienna either, as the current model comes standard with a 9-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and more. Optionally, buyers can add four-zone climate control, a 1,500-watt AC power system, rear-seat entertainment with an 11.6-inch display, and more. We anticipate this will all remain the same when the 2022 Sienna enters showrooms.

2022 Sienna Hybrid

Powering the all-new Toyota Sienna is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 189-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a 180-hp electric motor for a net 245 hp. This power is sent to all the front wheels as standard, but there is an optional all-wheel drive. We hope it stays the same at Sienna 2022.

IIHS has not tested the safety of the new Sienna. However, it is well equipped to keep all passengers safe with standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, active lane control, and automatic high beam. These features will likely remain the same in the 2022 Sienna.

2022 Toyota Sienna Prime

Best Minivan For 2021 Toyota wants its minivan to be seen as an SUV. The 2022 Toyota Sienna Woodland Special Edition introduced on Tuesday comes with a different styling, standard all-wheel drive, and more ground clearance than the redesigned Toyota Sienna minivan for 2021. It doesn’t come with a winch or 33-inch mud-terrain tires. stand out. But we can imagine.

2022 Toyota Sienna

The Sienna Woodland 2022 Special Edition can be available in black metallic paint or the Cement color which is exclusive to the special edition but reminiscent of the Lunar Rock color available on the 2021 Toyota TRD Pro models such as the 2021 Toyota 4Runner. It uses the same hybrid powertrain as the 2021 Toyota Sienna, consisting of a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine paired with an electric motor that produces 245 hp and gets 35 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The Woodland has the same 3,500-pound tow rating as the AWD Sienna.

The difference with Woodland is that it will use 18-inch wheels instead of 17, and the ground clearance has increased by 15 millimeters, or about 0.6 inches to 7.0 inches in total. Many SUVs are obviously 8.0 inches, and all of Subaru’s crossovers from the Crosstrek to the Ascent have 8.7 inches of ground clearance, for reference.

The Sienna Woodland is also equipped with roof rails with bars and a 1,500-watt power outlet located on the rear passenger side of the minivan. That output should be able to power everything from small appliances and laptops to power tools and air compressors.

Inside, the Woodland features second-row captain seats, heated front seats, black synthetic leather seats with distinct accent stitching, seven USB ports, navigation, and a 12-speaker JBL sound system. It also comes with automatic emergency braking, active lane control, adaptive cruise control, automatic headlights, and a 36 month/36,000-mile warranty with two years or 25,000 covered scheduled maintenance miles.

2022 Toyota Sienna Interior

This time the 2022 Toyota Sienna Interior Colors company said goodbye to the shabby with the new-style Sienna 2021 minivan, and its all-hybrid lineup makes it a very efficient choice among its competitors.

The new Sienna’s the more stylish body, grille with a wide mouth, and crossed headlights draw inspiration from the 2020 Highlander and give the van a more SUV-like look.

2022 Toyota Sienna Changes

Inside Toyota Sienna2022, Sienna accepts the same bold changes but remains focused on practicality and family friendliness. Gone was last year’s V-6 engine.

In contrast, there are four 2.5-liter cylinders plus two electric motors that make up the van standard hybrid engine; All-wheel drive is still an option, and Toyota offers best-in-class fuel economy. Sienna gets a bold redesign and a new hybrid engine in 2021.

Toyota took a big risk with the new Sienna 2021 minivan. First of all bold new van style, which makes the redesigned Sienna perhaps the wildest minivan since the 2004 Nissan Quest.

And with the second Toyota four-cylinder hybrid engine it is the fact that only this new model will offer, breaking the tradition of the previous generation Sienna, which is all naturally supported by the projected V-6 engines.

Interior in 2022 Toyota Sienna is equipped with a bold exterior redesign, sienna gets a modern and stylish interior for 2021.

2022 Toyota Sienna

Instead of designing an open cockpit like the current model, Toyota created a high center console with a large armrest, extending from the dashboard to the middle armrest.

Storage underneath. Luxury Limited and Platinum models have two-tone interior upholstery and leather-stitched boards, while sporty XSE models get black-and-white fake leather seats with red contrast stitching.

Unlike the Odyssey and Pacifica Hybrid, sienna second-row seats are not removable; However, optional second-row captain seats can shift up to and back up to 25 inches of the rear seat to provide maximum legroom for riders or to free up as much space as possible behind the second line for cargo.

Limited and Platinum models can be used with seats lying in the second row with backing pop-ups. Both top ornaments can come with a built-in vacuum cleaner.

The new Sienna eventually migrated to general Toyota architecture (TNGA) supported many of the company’s other models. It is a few inches longer and slightly wider than its predecessor.

It continues with a configuration of seven and eight. The lower flooring model offers an eighth seat that can be pulled back between the second-row captain’s seats, and a captain’s seat is available that slides back further than the track to meet the style foot rested on the higher flooring level.

Those who use minibusses for maximum cargo space should pay attention that second-row seats can now be removed due to the addition of side-mounted airbags.

Toyota’s latest infotainment interface features a 9.0-inch touchscreen that stands tall on the dashboard over temperature control. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa connection features are all standards, and seven USB ports fill the van cab.

Toyota also provides SiriusXM satellite radio and onboard Wi-Fi hotspots. The basic stereo 6 speakers are ed set up and the XLE model gets eight speakers.

JBL 12 stereo system speakers are standard on Limited and Platinum as optional in XLE and XSE. Navigating standard dashboards begins with XSE cropping. A rear-seat entertainment system with an 11.6-inch screen is optional on all models except basic LE models.

2022 Toyota Sienna Engine

By 2022, Sienna will most likely be paired with two electric motors with a total power of 243 horsepower, a 2.5-liter gasoline engine.

2022 Toyota Sienna

This is a drop of 53 horsepower compared to the Sienna 3.5-liter V-6 but the consensus is up to the EPA’s combined fuel economy rating estimate of 33 mpg, a significant 12-mpg increase.

Unlike the hybrid version, the Chrysler Pacifica hybrid Sienna is not a plug-in. Sienna continues to offer all-wheel drive as it has optional settings that include a third electric motor driving the rear wheels.

The key Toyota claims you can draw up to 3,500 pounds despite the sienna hybrid as before.

Unlike previous versions of Toyota family vans, the Sienna 2021 is only offered as a hybrid car. The engine consists of a combined 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and electric motors to produce a pair of 243 horsepower.

All-wheel drive is available and rear wheels drivers add a third electric motor.

Sienna’s main competitor Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is only offered with front-wheel drive but produces a V-6 engine and electric motor with 260 horsepower.

Our Sienna Platinum all-wheel-drive failed to get us excited during acceleration testing, taking 7.7 seconds to hit 60 mph and complete a quarter-mile in 15.8 seconds with only 88 mph; These results are similar to those managed by the Pacifica Hybrid but considerably slower than the non-hybrid samples from the Pacifica we’ve tested as well as the Honda Odyssey.

Which Toyota Sienna Has AWD

Imagine a 2021 Toyota Sienna hitting 35mpg. It can switch itself between gasoline and electric power to give you the optimal balance between performance and fuel efficiency.

Sienna achieves this through the use of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. Teamwork. Now add the all-new Sienna Woodland 2022 Special Edition. Time to go to the next level here, folks.

The Sienna Woodland (I’ll call it Sienna Woodland for short) allows drivers and their families to go where a Toyota Sienna would normally not.

Look for standard all-wheel-drive (AWD) with increased ground clearance that builds on the 6.37 inches currently found on the 2021 Sienna. This official ground clearance has not been released by Toyota yet. But we know it will be higher than the ground. Useful for stumps, sticks, and rocks in your path.

The 2022 Toyota Sienna Woodland features an on-demand electronic all-wheel-drive system that works both on dry roads and in more slippery conditions such as mud, sand, snow, and dirt.

The Sienna Woodland drives in front-wheel-drive mode on dry ground, thereby saving fuel. However, when your wheels start to slip, your Sienna can transfer up to 80% of the torque to the rear wheels. According to the needs.

Talk about peace of mind when roads and driving conditions become less favorable. Check out some of the unique features that will make the 2022 Toyota Sienna Woodland one-of-a-kind.

Think about where you will take your new Toyota Sienna as you read this list.

  • Standard crane hitch with 3,500-pound towing capacity.
  • Roof rail with crossbar for storing coolers, luggage, and kayaks.
  • 1,500 watt outlet. Time to microwave and use that blender.
  • Sport-trimmed seats in black.
  • Dynamic Navigation System.
  • JBL sound system with 12 speakers and a 1,200-watt amplifier.
  • Unique black exterior badge.
  • Dark chrome accents (think 4Runner Nightshade).

Plan to see the 2022 Sienna Woodland Edition in two colors. Midnight Black Metallic and Cement. The Cement color screams outdoor adventure, and Woodland is the only trim level to feature this color.

Following the discontinuation of GM’s all-wheel-drive minivan in 2006, the Sienna was the only minivan in its class to offer AWD until the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica was introduced with an AWD option in 2020.

2021 Sienna Towing Capacity

The 2021 Toyota Sienna towing capacity reaches up to £3,500 for each of its five trim levels. Whether you choose the Sienna Limited with AWD or the Sienna XSE with FWD, you can enjoy the same 3,500 pounds Toyota Sienna towing capacity for your Lexington weekend adventure.

2022 Toyota Sienna Hybrid

2022 is an updated version of Toyota’s long-running minivan and is one of the few minivans still on sale today. The Sienna underwent a complete redesign last year, with new styling inside and out, new technology and driver assistance, and a hybrid-only powertrain.

2022 Toyota Sienna

Rivals include the Honda Odyssey — Edmunds’ top-rated minivan — and the updated Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid. The new Kia Carnival is coming soon and should give more life to this segment.

We don’t expect big changes for 2022, although that’s not necessarily a bad thing. We found the Sienna 2021 roomy and comfortable, with decent space in all three rows of seating. The available all-wheel drive is a plus for those who need it, and the hybrid powertrain helps deliver excellent fuel economy.

Unfortunately, that hybrid powertrain can make the Sienna feel underpowered, especially when it’s loaded with people. It’s also surprising that the second-row seats are not removable, impairing overall utility for those who use their vans to transport goods other than people.

Toyota Sienna Colors 2022: Sienna Prime 2022

Since the Toyota Sienna is completely redesigned for 2021, we expect there won’t be many updates. No need. We have an exciting new 2022 Sienna trim level – the Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition. This versatile Sienna class is ideal for road trippers, weekend campers and the general outdoors enthusiast.

The 2022 Sienna Colors Woodland will be offered in Cement and Midnight Black Metallic colors. Other color scheme changes might interest potential buyers. A brighter color switch is available for the 2022 Toyota Sienna.

The Blizzard Pearl will be replaced by the Wind Chill Pearl for the new Toyota Sienna model. The Wind Chill Pearl is whiter, a brighter hue than the Blizzard Pearl and really sparkles in direct sunlight.

You can find the Wind Chill Pearl on popular Toyota models such as the Camry, Tacoma and Tundra.

Toyota Sienna 2022 Release Date

Due to ongoing vehicle shortage concerns, it is difficult to determine exactly when the 2022 Sienna will be available. However, I expect to see the new Sienna minivan in dealerships in the September-October timeframe.

2022 Toyota Sienna Colors

Shoppers will have many different colors to choose from in 2022. Some are traditional while some are bold and vibrant. Look for Super White, Predawn Gray Mica, Celestial Silver Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic, Blueprint, Sunset Bronze Mica, Ruby Flare Pearl, Cypress Green Metallic, and Wind Chill Pearl.

Toyota Sienna MPG and AWD

People who enjoy exceptional fuel economy will appreciate the Sienna Hybrid. It’s rated at 35mpg or 36mpg depending on whether you get all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.

2022 Toyota Sienna MPG

MPG speaking at the EPA estimates that the front-wheel-drive version of the 2021 Sienna will produce 36 mpg city as well as 36 mpg highway with an example of all-wheel drive carrying a lower 1 mpg rating at 35 mpg.

In a mix of city and highway driving, we managed 29 mpg with our all-wheel-drive Platinum test vehicle. When we get the chance to test the new Sienna through our 75-mile highway fuel economy test, we’ll update this story with results.

Toyota Sienna 2022 Release Date: When Will 2022 Toyota Sienna Be Available

There is no official sales date for the 2022 Toyota Sienna, but we expect it to arrive in the fall of 2021 based on Toyota’s fleet ordering guide. Toyota won’t reveal pricing until near the fall release date, and won’t specify where it will slot in the Sienna lineup.

Toyota Sienna 2022 Price

Pricing for the 2022 Toyota Sienna is also still unclear, but without the upcoming changes, we expect it to stay close to the current model’s $36,635-$51,635 MSRP (including destination costs). The XSE that comes with the Plus Plan costs around $45,000, while the Limited costs under $50,000. We expect the 2022 Toyota Sienna Woodland Special Edition to be placed in that range.

***

If we look up to now we take a look at the sporty XSE model, which comes with 20-inch wheels, more aggressive front, and rear bumpers, and a sporty front seat. The XSE also comes standard with in-dash navigation and a second-row captain’s seat.

The XSE, like all Sienna trims, comes standard with front-wheel drive but adding all-wheel drive costs just $ 760, which seems like a decent upgrade to us.

As for the release schedule, we cannot know for sure, we will continue to monitor its progress.

  • LE $ 35,635
  • XLE $ 40,925
  • XSE $ 43,175
  • Limited $ 47,875
  • Platinum $ 51,075
